I was surprised at the quantity and quality.Kind of torn between a couple things.-The set is just enormous and heavy, and this doesn't even include a palette.-Containers seem to seal loosely. Worried about gauche drying up.Each container is sealed with a glued on freshness seal, but after you break the seal the container only has a loose fitting lid to keep in the moisture. The carrying case also serves as a seal, and this is probably the best feature of the set considering that the lid of the box does have a moisture seal and fits tightly.The case is probably the most notable feature of this set, but I don't understand why it is so big. This set easily outweighs some of my largest paint sets. The guache containers probably hold double the amount of gauche that a small tube would hold, and it is nice to have such quantity. However, if one of your containers dries up there is a lot of wasted paint. Tubes seal after every use and rarely dry out, I don't feel as confident about these containers.Overall, I'm really impressed with the look of the presentation of the set, however I don't find it a value because of the chance of the paint drying out. The paint is the feature not the case, if they wanted to sell a case then they could make a case and improve the seals on the containers. Otherwise, in the current version (version I received) I don't feel like I would buy it again. The case and containers needed to be air tight and they aren't.I'm kind of neutral on this purchase, I like it but I found multiple things wrong with it. The case is way to big and heavy, it's hard to store, I don't know any times when I've needed to have such an immense set of gauche in a travel case. In the carrying position the guaches are going to leak out of their tubs because they aren't sealed well.I can see this item becoming a huge mess with some serious use.I can't suggest this product.

Gouache Paint Set 42x50 ml With Lids - 24 Metallic and 18 Base ColorsThe case with the gouache paint is heavy, like really heavy. The containers are deep and since they are individual colors you can only grab the ones you need if you want to avoid dragging along the heavy case. The paint is nice and opaque with a thick and smooth texture. I plan on using them for card making and other similar projects and I am sure it will last for a very long time.

Absolutely LOVE this set! So much paint comes with this set! There are stickers with name and number of color to put on the lids. The whole thing comes in a snap closed container to help keep paint fresh. Just love all the rich colors!

This is a huge set of gouache paint. I like that each large well has it's own lid so that I can just keep the ones I'm using out of the big case. The case and handle are very sturdy - it has to be to be able to handle the weight of all that paint. Since all the colors have their own tightly sealing lids, it won't make a mess. This is primarily a set of metallic colors, and it has just about any metallic color you could want, from standard gold and silver to greens, yellows, purples, and even black. There are also enough non-metallic colors for beginners as well. The paint is thick and opaque. I have been using watercolor and wanted to try out gouache, and this has been a great set to get started.

I'm new to Gouache paint, having only used acrylic and watercolor. I will say, just for the variety of colors, this set is well worth the cost as typcially you are spending $2-10 for one color of acrylic paint. This is nice a thick, decent level of opaque. Would recommend as a good set to start with and try your hand.
